Deployment
A deployment puts a particular version of your application into an environment where it can run or be served. A preview deployment is for checking a candidate; production serves your users. Deploying code and changing a database are separate operations that must remain compatible.
You might see: deploy, release deployment
In a real project
Your host creates a preview URL for a new reading-list layout. You verify that version before sending it to the production domain. Visitors on production continue seeing the previous version until the release changes.
A common mistake
Assuming a successful deployment means every user flow works. Verify the actual URL, version and important actions, including the services and environment settings that version uses.
Put it into practice
These lessons open through your account. Your kit determines which are available.
