Data and storage
Cache
A retained copy of data or a result used to avoid repeating slower work. A cache needs rules for its key, freshness and replacement. Its contents can differ from the underlying source after that source changes.
You might see: cached copy, response cache, caching
In a real project
The workshop's public timetable is cached for quicker reading. When a session time changes, the application needs a freshness or invalidation rule so visitors receive the intended update.
A common mistake
Caching personalized results under one shared key. Include the necessary scope or avoid shared caching so another visitor cannot receive private data.
Put it into practice
These lessons open through your account. Your kit determines which are available.
