Building a project
Terminal
A terminal is the text interface where you enter commands and see their output. A shell interprets those commands and starts programs. The terminal window and the shell inside it have different jobs, even when an editor presents them together.
You might see: terminal window, integrated terminal, command line
In a real project
You open your editor's integrated terminal to inspect the reading-list project. The shell runs the command you enter, and the terminal displays its output. You can perform the same work in a separate terminal window.
A common mistake
Assuming a command is safe because it runs inside your editor. Check what the command does, which folder it targets and which permissions it uses before running it.
Put it into practice
These lessons open through your account. Your kit determines which are available.
