Our recommendation
When to choose it
Start with Sentry when the first question is which code failed and how to reproduce it. Add uptime monitoring for availability questions.
A good fit for
- A developer debugging production errors
- Web or native apps with an error-reporting SDK
Choose something else when
Choose Better Stack first when uptime, incident response and log operations are the immediate need.
Watch out for
- Filter credentials and personal data before sending events.
- An installed SDK is not proof that alerts or source maps work; trigger a safe test and verify the result.
How costs work
Hosted monitoring plans and usage
Check current event allowances and optional products on the pricing page; no price or allowance estimate is included here.
Check current official terms and pricing ↗This is a pricing model, not a monthly quote. Check your region, intended usage and current plan before buying.
What connects to it
- Web and native application SDKs
- Release and source-map workflows
These are technical connections you can configure. Selecting a card creates no accounts or resources.
